Wages
All vessels are registered in the Norwegian International Ship Register or in the registry of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the seafarers follow the AMOSUP – NIS/Model Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Company Allowances
The company offers various allowance packages, depending on position and seniority, such as Company Allowance, Loyalty Allowance, Seniority Allowance, Administration Allowance and Service Allowance.

Medical Care
All our seafarers and the dependents are covered by the Family Medical Plan of Marine Benefits Assistance Services, while onboard and when on vacation. For the Pre-Employment Medical Examination, our seafarers may choose to use accredited clinics in Metro Manila, Cebu and Iloilo.

Internet access
All our crew members have complimentary access to the internet onboard to ensure continued contact with family and friends at home.

Information
All our seafarers get access to the company crew intranet through our mobile or PC app. The app ensures information from the company, access to vital information, and contact with colleagues onboard and onshore.

Professional and personal development

At Grieg Philippines, we offer ongoing training and development opportunities to help our seafarers advance in their careers and ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

We have internal competence assessments, both for the seafarers’ current rank and next level, to ensure we work hand in hand to optimise both personal and professional enhancement. The company offers development plans tailored to your needs. Norwegian Training Centre in Manila is our main training partner, but we will offer training from other partners as needed. We aim to have annual officers’ conferences to improve onshore/onboard cooperation and efficiency.

We want the best seafarers to sail on Grieg Star’s ships. To achieve that, we can’t exclude over half the talent pool. That is why we always look to increase the diversity onboard, especially by hiring more female seafarers in all ranks onboard. We continuously strive to ensure operations are fitted for both genders onboard to create equal opportunities for a career at sea. We are proud to have female seafarers on all levels in our pool, from the management level to the galley department.
