Engine Fitter

Job Description

  • Receive job orders from Second Engineer and work observing safe working practices at all times.
  • Take F.O. and D.O. tank soundings when required.
  • Work on deck or any part of the vessel when required.
  • Assist in mooring operations as required.
  • Any other tasks according to job description or instructions.

Qualifications

  • Certificate of Proficiency – Able Seafarer Engine STCW Reg. III/5
  • Certificate of Proficiency – Ratings Forming Part of an Engineering Watch STCW Reg. III/4
  • Certificate of Proficiency – Basic Training
  • Certificate of Proficiency – Seafarers with Designated Security Duties
  • Sailed at least 12 months in rank as Engine Fitter or equivalent
