3rd Engineer

We’re on the lookout for a skilled and experienced Third Engineer to join our crew.

Job Description

- Responsible to operate and maintenance of the Auxiliary Engines.
- Responsible to carry out maintenance overhauls and repairs of Diesel Generators with the approval of Senior Engineers.
- Responsible to inform Senior Engineers of any abnormalities during the operation of Engines on the tour of duty.
- Adhere to the Owner’s maintenance strategy and standards.
- Responsible to carry out routine and preventive maintenance according to planned maintenance schedules.
- Responsible for performing Boiler Water Analysis every other day and weekly analysis of the Central Cooling Freshwater System.
- Responsible for checking the operation, cleaning and maintenance of Auxiliary Engines’ Lub. Oil filters.
- Recording maintenance details/spares used for equipment under his/her responsibility in the Planned Maintenance System.
- Maintaining inventories of spare parts and tools for equipment under his/her responsibility in consultation with the Second Engineer in the Planned Maintenance System.
- Act as a secondary assistant during bunkering operation as described in Oil Transfer Instructions.
- Assist in receiving, safe handling, and storage of Bunkers and Lub. Oil, and other chemicals.
- Responsible to ensure cleanliness and safety around Diesel Generator surroundings.
- Ensure the Engine Room is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Ensure all tools and stores are kept clean and safe.

We expect you to have at least one year of experience as Third Engineer or equivalent on international trade, with experience and/or with a higher license.
