Captain Dave Osunero took over as Head of Grieg Philippines in December 2021. He has sailed with Grieg Star since 1996 when he joined as Second Officer. He took his first command onboard Star Dover in 2003 and had sailed in most of the ship classes in the fleet. After 31 years of sailing, he decided to bring his vast experience ashore and joined Grieg Philippines. Captain Dave is a graduate of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation. He is also a Maritime Instructor. In 2013, Captain Dave sailed out the newly built Star Lygra from Ulsan Shipyard. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he was deployed by Grieg Star as Owner’s Representative and had also served as a Consultant in Grieg Star Philippines.

Kenneth joined Grieg Philippines in 2007 as Cadet and worked his way up as Chief Mate in 2017. He stopped sailing in 2020 after having sailed for 13 years in Grieg Star and immediately started working ashore as Crew Manager in Grieg Philippines. Through the years of his sea service, he has gained extensive knowledge of Grieg Star vessels as he was able to serve all types of ships in its fleet. He also worked in the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) STCW office as Marina Technical Assessor in 2016. In August 2019, he was engaged by Grieg Star Philippines as Marine Competence Instructor. Kenneth earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Transportation from the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA).
